Dance With Pride (“DWP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) produces LGBTQ+ nightlife and entertainment events and operate associated websites, mobile pages, social-media accounts, and ticketing or marketing tools (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you interact with our Services—whether you buy a ticket, join a wait-list, fill out an opt-in form, visit our websites, or engage with our SMS or email campaigns. It applies to visitors, attendees, customers, and other users worldwide. Additional notices may apply if required by local law (for example, GDPR or CCPA).

3. Information We Collect

We collect a limited set of data, always provided voluntarily by you or generated automatically by your device:

• Contact & Identity Data: name, email address, mobile phone number, pronouns.
• Ticketing & Transaction Data: events attended, order ID, ticket class, tokenized payment method (we never store full card numbers).
• Marketing Preferences: your opt-in choices for email and SMS plus any preferences you share (e.g., favorite cities or event genres).
• Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device type and browser, referring page, cookie identifiers, and general interaction logs.
• Location Data: an approximate city or region inferred from IP address or, if you enable it, GPS.
• User-Generated Content: photos, videos, or comments you choose to submit.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, nor do we use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How and Why We Use Your Information

We process your data only for specific purposes and lawful bases:

• Event fulfilment and customer support – to process ticket orders, send confirmations, and respond to questions (contract performance).
• Marketing with consent – to send promotional emails, SMS/MMS, push notifications, discount codes, or event announcements (your consent; you can withdraw at any time).
• Service improvement and analytics – to analyze trends, measure campaign performance, and test new features (our legitimate interests).

SMS Marketing Details

• Opt-in is always required (for example, checking a box on our form or texting a keyword).
• Message frequency is typically six or fewer messages per month.
• Standard message and data rates may apply.
• Opt-out at any time by replying STOP (help: HELP). We honor opt-outs within 24 hours.

5. How We Share Information

We never sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

Service providers and processors – trusted vendors that run key services such as ticketing platforms (Universe, Eventbrite), payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Twilio), cloud hosting, analytics, and security tools. 2. Business partners and co-hosts – only when you give explicit consent, such as ticking a box to share your email with a DJ or sponsor.
3. Legal or safety reasons – when required to comply with law, respond to subpoenas, or protect the rights, property, or safety of DWP, our users, or others.
4. Business transfers – if we merge, reorganize, or sell assets, the successor entity will inherit and honor this policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixel tags, and local storage to:

Our events and marketing target adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.
